COBALT

In FRP grade, Cobalt Octoate is a combination of two metals. Combined % of two metals is active metal present in Cobalt Octoate. These Compounds are promoters used in curing Polyester resins with Methyl Ethyl Ketonr Peroxide(MEKP) type catalyst. Promoters are also called accelerators. These acelerators can be added to the resin by the supplier in prior only or by the manufacturer prior to adding catalyst to Resin. Accelerator added Resin is called is Pre – Acelerated Resin or Pre-Promoted Resin.
